Description: Picnik is a free, online photo/image editing program. It is the integrated image editor for Flickr as well. It allows you to rotate, crop and resize images as well as fix the exposure, color and red-eye. It's no Photoshop but then again most folks don't need everything Photoshop has to offer. It's a great tool to resize photos for projects or the web. Great for removing red-eye and other basic editing uses. The more fun aspect of Picnik is that students can add special effects, text, shapes (including voice bubbles) and fun frames. When you're done you can save it then share it easily to Flickr or email it to someone.

Price: Free. You will see ads. To get rid of them you have to purchase the Premium account for $24.95/year.

Privacy: Private online. To share them you have to send them to another service such as Flickr.
