Description: PBWiki is wiki software that allows individuals to collaboratively create a resources. A wiki can be used to create a webpage or document accreditation or create an online resource for the community (like Wikipedia). What I like about PBWiki is that it is easy to add links to files and images because it allows you to upload those files to your account instead of only being able to link to something already on the web. It also allows you to create folders full of documents and uses can access the entire folder. These are features not found in all wiki applications. It's also really easy to add a navigation bar, making your wiki more user friendly. Like other wiki applications you can share/collaborate with the world or only a specific group of people. You can allow comments if you want and can tag your content for easy access via a search engine. There is also an educator account which is ad-free! They also publish a collection of Educator White Pages that discuss things important to teachers such as security, how to use the software to engage students and how to create a collaborative classroom.

Price: Free with restrictions. You can pay for more space and the ability to brand your wiki with a logo for $9.95/month.

Privacy: Private or Public. Can set permissions to a group level to either view only or to collaborate.
